Communique No. 3 - The Basic Premises of B.U.F.F.
Hi Everyone,
As I may have mentioned previously, my goal this season is to have "Zero" negative incidents in B.U.F.F. I believe at the root of any incident in B.U.F.F. is a misunderstanding of the limits and rules of sportsmanship that we adhere to in B.U.F.F. These "Communiques" are intended to ensure we are all on the same page regarding behavior and sportsmanship. For most everyone, this should just be a reminder.
In B.U.F.F. I hold the following to be true and indisputable.
1. All B.U.F.F. players (who have passed the probationary period) are honorable and 100% trustworthy. There is no reason to feel that someone is trying to hurt you or cheat you. If found to be less than honorable they will be expelled from B.U.F.F. Believe me, all B.U.F.F. players are really nice guys. Try getting to know everyone, you'll see! Veterans, please be ambassadors of good will and sportsmanship to all new players, show them what we are all about!
2. All Calls shall be honored. Because our players are honorable and trustworthy there is no reason to doubt the veracity of anyone's calls. All calls are to be honored without dispute, unsportsmanlike behavior or demonstrative whining. If we honor all calls, things will not get out of hand. Things have a way of evening out over the course of a game or season. In the event of consistently bad calls or repeated ticky tack calls please discuss this discretely with the Commissioner. I usually investigate all allegations and incidents. Bad calls and ticky tack calls do not happen very often. If you are a violator try to refrain from committing these acts. If you are a victim please refrain from reacting in anger. Just let me know about it and I will investigate and deal with the perpetrator. Violators may face suspension or dismissal. It is not worth permanently damaging a friendship or jeopardizing your B.U.F.F. career over a bad call, even it it costs you a victory.
The season premiere is just around the corner!
Thank you,
Park
